Mazovia

Mazovia is a historical region of Poland. It is located in mid-north-eastern part of the country. The landscape of Mazovia does not include hills and lakes. One-fifth of the region is covered by forests, such as: Kampinos Forest, Puszcza Zielona, Puszcza Biała. The region occupies the area of 33500 square kilometres. The main city of Mazovia is Warsaw. That is not only the capital of the region, but also the capital of Poland. There are also other cities and towns, for example: Płock, Łomża, Ostrołęka, Ciechanów, Skierniewice, Łowicz, Grójec, Pułtusk, Mława, Rawa, Mazowiecka, Sochaczew, Żyrardów. In Mazovia there is the Kampinos National Park. It is one of the largest National Parks of Poland.
