Lower  Silesia

Lower Silesia is the region located in the south-west of Poland. It is the nothwestern part of the geographical region Silesia. The main city of Lower Silesia is Wrocław. Other cities and towns are, for example: Wałbrzych, Nysa, Brzeg, Legnica, Jelenia Góra, Kłodzko, Oława. It is situated mostly in the basin of the middle Oder River. Lower Silesia belongs to the most visited regions in Poland. It is famous because of quantity of castles and palaces. There are more than 100 of them. The most famous ones are: Książ Castle, Czocha Castle, Grodziec Castle, Gola Dzierżoniowska Castle.
