Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea is a mediterranean sea of the Atlantic. It is connected by artificial waterways to the White Sea and to the German Bight of the North Sea. The only Polish inflow of the Baltic Sea is Vistula. That is the longest rover of Poland. On the sea there are two Polish islands: Uznam and Wolin. The surface area of the sea is about 349644 square kilometres. Maximum depth is 459 metres. Maximum length is 1601 kilometres. Maximum width is 193 kilometres.
